Special Transportation Service (STS) is a type of transit intended to assist individuals that are living with a physical, mental or intellectual disability and are unable to use public transportation services such as the Miami Metrobus, Metrorail or Metromover. Any resident with a disability preventing them from riding regular transit vehicles is eligible to receive STS. This eligibility also extends to residents that may be dealing with a short-term disability.
STS operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including most holidays. Use our STS door-to-door travel for trips no matter what the needs may be. We have a broad selection of vehicles readily available to transport passengers with disabilities safely in a clean, non-smoking environment. Each vehicle is operated by a trained, courteous individual with years of safe driving experience.
With thousands of successful trips scheduled every week, iTransport is proud to provide non-emergency paratransit services to qualified individuals regardless of the time or day. Riders can use our services for everything from medical appointments, grocery shopping, commuting to school or work, or even for trips intended for recreation. Service is available for $3.50 per roundtrip ride.
Qualified riders are allowed to travel with a personal care attendant (PCA) at no additional charge. Guests may also use the iTransport along with the qualified rider, though they are required to pay the fare. Seating for guests is subject to availability.
